Covid19 - Grey areas, navigating through uncertian times

It's crazy if we look at what is going on in the world right now! Look back to the world BC (before corona) and think about how much we have had to adapt and change is SUCH a short amount of time - everything has changed..

I remember teaching a yoga class in the @ryuapparel underground gym on March 13th, Friday the 13th. I remember talking about feeling overwhelmed with the energy of the week to my class, because there was a full moon, time change, and friday the 13th all in the same week. I went without saying that everyone was STARTING to feel the pressure of corona.


Unpresidented times. We all pretend like we know what is going on, but there are so many grey areas, that it's making us go a little bit crazy, and on top of that, aside from being a deadly virus, what does this really mean? Is it symbolic? Is there more to it? So many people are completely in pieces to due FEAR. One Doctor says one thing, the others say differently. We are told to stand 6 feet away from everyone, but that's not humanly possible if you need to go food shopping.. So how can we stay healthy, not onlt safe from this virus, but also from a mental health stand point? I thrive with a lines are drawn in the sand, I never did exceptionally well with grey areas, so I won't lie and say that that I have been ok with this change right from the start.


DISCONNECT


I had to do a lot of tuning out of the media and disconnecting at times, resurfacing only to read the numbers of those affected, and watch a few interviews with Doctors that I trust. I also turned off my phone so I could avoid other people's energy disrupting my good vibes I was working to build up. I did A LOT of meditation, and got my mind right, slowly but 100%! I can't imagine how I would feel if I did not do this. It has definitely been instinctual of me from the beginning of this crisis as things started to escalate.


GETTING OUTDOORS


For me this has been very key for my mind and health. I initially started feeling a little uneasy when having to go out and stock up, but a lot of that was eased once I started getting outside just for health walks. I found this new route in my area for a really nice walk! It's made my days so much brighter! And no usually no anxiety when shopping either!


BUILD UP YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM


Eat healthy, drink lots of water, meditation is also proved no boost your immune system, as well as physical activity! I also take vitamin C and B daily, and adding in D as well lately. On top of being strong to fight this thing, it also helps us not get any other illness, because we all know the last place we need to be right now is in the hospitals or taking up doctors time! Love your body love yoself! <3


GET INTO NEW FITNESS ROUTINES!


Yes I know your gym is closed, and I know you are confused and unsure of how to keep active, but DON'T LET THAT STOP YOU! Find a new workout you enjoy doing at home, and possible even incorporate outdoors (running up steps etc!). If you need inspo contact me!
